How To Get Around

Getting around the 64 kilometer circumferential road of Camiguin is easiest by hiring a van and driver from the resort you are staying in. Motorcycles for hire, called habal-habal, are another way of exploring the island.
You can opt to get a motorcycle driver to show you around, or you can hire the motorcycle for P200/day, fuel not included. Getting hold of a bicycle is another great way to get around.
Camiguin has five towns, with Brgy. Mambajao as its capital and main center of commerce. Bank, a market, the airport, and small shops are located in Mambajao.

How To Get There

Camiguin is accessible by plane, but only if you're leaving from Cebu. SEAir flies direct to Camiguin three times a week. Planes, and the flight takes only 30 minutes.
Most people get to Camiguin by land and sea travel. Slow boats leave from Cebu and travel overnight. Another option is take a hired van or bus from Cagayan de Oro city to Misamis Oruental, where you can take a ferry to Camiguin. Leaving from Cagayan de Oro City takes three hours to get to Camiguin. Ferries from Misamis Oriental leave hourly.

Dining

The most canvenient place to grab a meal is your hotel, though not to be missed is eating at the restaurants surrounding the Taguines Lagoon. Fresh seafood is kept in the water, below the alfresco, stilted restaurant setting. J&A Fishpen is the most popular and serves fish, shrimps, crabs, and other fresh sea creatures. You can even fish for your own food and have the kitchen prepare your catch the way you want.
Most tourist sites also have nearby eateries where you can have a meal without having to leave the area.

Accommodations

There are only a handful of resort on the island, the most popular of which are Paras Beach Resort, Bahay Bakasyunan, Secreat Cove, and Highland Resort. Most resorts are located along the coastline, though Highland Resort is situated high up on a mountain, and there are small hotels in the downtown area of Brgy. Mambajao.
